Planetary Attunement
The old planetary hours, calculated for where you are.
Planetary timing and guided contemplation with historical context. Enter your coordinates and the app divides your day and night into twelve unequal hours each, from your local sunrise and sunset, and pairs each planet with a short modern reflection.
What you can do
Calculated planetary hours
From manually entered coordinates and time zone, the app calculates sunrise and sunset and shows the current hour, the day’s ruling planet, when the hour ends and which comes next, with the next twelve hours listed.
Seven practices
Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn each have a short modern contemplation, timed in stages from 1 to 60 minutes with original ambient sound.
Optional reminders
Choose planets and receive an approximate reminder ten minutes before their hour. Android may delay reminders to save battery.
A private journal
Sessions are recorded on your device, with editable reflections and JSON export. Coordinates never leave the phone.

Screenshots coming soon
We only show screens captured from the running app, with demonstration data. Captures for Planetary Attunement are being prepared; until then this artwork is illustrative and is not an app screen.
What comes from the record, and what is new
EVIDENCEFrom the historical record
- Theurgy, in late antiquity, meant ritual work aimed at a relationship with the divine. Iamblichus defended it; modern research studies his arguments.
- Renaissance writers such as Agrippa (Book I, chapters 23–29) assigned metals, colours and qualities to the planets. These correspondences are a later Western tradition, separate from late-antique theurgy.
MODERNMade for this app
- The seven reflective sequences are modern. No universal ancient colour system or ritual is asserted.
- The app makes no claim that planets influence you. Where there is no full sunrise–sunset cycle, such as polar day or night, it says the hours are undefined.
Sources named in the app: Agrippa, Three Books of Occult Philosophy I.23–29 · University of Liverpool research on Iamblichean theurgy
